Kota Kinabalu Trip_23/04/2008

At 8 something, we had our breakfast opposite our lodge. I ordered a Sarawak Mee and Milo Ais. The Sarawak Mee tasted good and it look similar to our Hakka Mee actually. We also had breakfast with Mikki's friends since they were at KK also on that day.

After breakfast, our tour guide was waiting us at downstair. So, we packed our luggage and get into the Bus Persiaran. Our tour guide named William & Eric. Both of them were Chinese and Christian too. We leaved Hamin Lodge at 9 something. We headed off to Kundasang to check-in at Kinabalu Pine Resort.

Along the way, I saw alot of trees and mountain. Other than these, there is one more thing which can see along the way and that is Catholic Church. I saw many church there likes St. John, St. Mary, St. Joseph, St. Paul, St.Francis and etc. There are so many churchs because most of the people there were Christian.

My tour guide also told us about Mt. Kinabalu. He said that Mt. Kinabalu also called as "China Widow Mountain". How was this name came from? It was came from a story. A long time ago, a China man came over Sabah to do his business. So, he will stay here for quite a long time and get to know the gal who stay at Mt. Kinabalu. After that they get married and the China man was leaving Sabah and back to China. Since he left, he didn't come back and the Mt. Kinabalu woman become like a widow. So, the name was came from this story.
Fog...fog...fog
Nice fog...
Suddenly, we had a small accident. There is a lorry in front of us which drove so slow. So, our tour guide decided to overtake the lorry. But, when our bus was on the next road, a small lorry beside us want to overtake us. He seems like didn't see us want to overtake the lorry. He just drove near to us and so my driver had to go over the next road and finally we get into drain. What a ridiculous lorry driver!!Our bus was big enough for him to notice. And what more ridiculous is the lorry driver didn't stop and checked whether we were alright and just gone. Luckily had a big lorry which is my tour guide's friend helped us to carry our bus up from the drain. We were so luckily enough to meet the lorry driver who helped us. Really felt thankful to him and also all of us in the bus were shocked.

The helpful & friendly lorry driver carried us up from the drain.
We arrived at Kinabalu Pine Resort at 12 something. We took almost 2 hours to arrive Kundasang. So we just check-in and put all our luggage in our room and headed off to Ranau to take our lunch which is free. It's included in our tour fees.

Took with tour guide, Eric & William(in yellow) at Rabbit Farm.
After lunch, we went to Poring Hot Spring. Firstly, we went to Jungle Canopy Walk to climb the 1km hill. Omg!!It's really tired man. We also had to pass by a 5 long hanging bridges. It's really scary because the bridge was shaking and it's really high. I was scared but what to do? We couldn't turn back. So we forced to pass through the bridge. Finally I managed to do so and I felt it's really fun although it was tiring.

After that, we backed to our resort and take a rest. Then, we visited the resort because the design and environment there were nice. The weather was abit cold like Genting. We loved there very much. We hoped to stay there for few days but we couldn't do it.

It's really delicious. After dinner, we went back to our rooms since there was raining. And because there is nothing to do, so we Chor Dai 2 and played Heart Attack while waiting for rain to stop. All of us were crazy when played Heart Attack. At first we were cool but when played Heart Attack, all of us became warm because we screamed and laughed. It was really fun.
